Five years ago on October 10, 2002, the United States House of Representatives passed a resolution authorizing the use of force in Iraq.  I voted against it. 

It was at that moment that our nation entered into an ill-conceived war in Iraq based on faulty intelligence and failed leadership.  Since then, we have seen this war turn into the worst foreign-policy disaster in our nation’s history.

Today, we must make our voices heard so we can end American involvement in this bloody, religious civil war and bring our troops home. 

President Bush and his allies in Congress have blocked every attempt to end this disastrous war while they have no strategy to bring the troops home. I believe that we do not need another compromise on how to fight the war – we need leadership to end it.

Please help me send a strong message to the President and to all of Congress by signing our petition today.
